Shaffer Films is a film and video production company utilizing the creative edge of the cinematic arts to deftly express the visions of both their clients and themselves.
Co-Presidents Dan and Tami Shaffer bring a plentiful array of skills and experience to make Shaffer Films a full-service artistry of sight and sound. Both Tami and Dan began their production careers as writers with a handful of scripts, essays, articles, short stories, and poems to their names.
Though first and foremost a Writer, Tami has successfully taken on positions ranging from Production Coordinator to that of project Producer on many high-profile productions which have included FX Channel presentations as well as large-budgeted commercials and documentaries. Meanwhile, Dan has combined his writing with his eye for filmmaking to become an award-winning Director and Editor whose work can be seen and enjoyed in a wide variety of productions including internationally distributed feature films, full-length documentaries, music videos, promotional videos, etc. Dan has also garnered hands-on crewing knowledge as a Camera Operator, Sound Recordist, and Key Grip on a number of broadcast and other widely circulated productions.
Since joining forces, the two have spear-headed a host of various video pieces including a full-length, documentary on the Pan-African Inaugural Ball commemorating the January 2009 presidential inauguration of Barack Obama as well as a series of videos showcasing a renowned Pennsylvania-based, advanced basketball training facility.
In addition to working with their clients, Dan and Tami are committed to Writing and Producing their own projects. Dan recently sold one of several feature-length screenplays to Jazorian Entertainment, and he and Tami are currently working together on another feature film script. In the upcoming months, Shaffer Films plans to produce an experimental short film as well as a highly-anticipated historical documentary.
Apart from production work, Tami is also the proprietress of a flourishing bath and body business known as No Common Scents.
