Today - January 18, 2012 - Shaffer Films is blacking out our web site to participate in the Stop American Censorship Day/SOPA Strike as part of an Internet-wide boycott to raise awareness of the dangers of the SOPA-PIPA bills that will be voted on next week in the US Congress.
The scope of these bills threatens to destroy the free expression of the Internet as we now know it and put control of what has been an integral tool for the free sharing of knowledge and ideas into he hands of the government and established, big-business content owners.
